The City of Melbourne now screens Dive In movies at its North Melbourne Recreation Centre and swimming pool!
Recently the City Council purchased a complete outdoor movie system including a 5 metre
wide inflatable outdoor movie screen. The North Melbourne Recreation Centre provides visitors with an outdoor movie event about once a fortnight over the summer period. Naturally it’s been called the Dive In or even Drive In Cinema!

According to Danielle Schwabe, Programs & Events Coordinator at the Recreation Centre, the outdoor movies have been a great success with numbers increasing at each screening. Customers enjoy a terrific swim and then sit down and watch a great movie at sunset in a very relaxed and friendly environment.
