It is important to select a movie appropriate for the event. We can help and advise you with the movie selection.
Licence To Screen
Movies shown at home and for which there is no charge do not require a licence to screen the movie. In all other cases in Australia, the screening is deemed to be a public screening and a copyright licence is required. There are two main distributors of commercial movies for outdoor use. They are Roadshow and Amalgamated Movies. We will facilitate the acquisition of the licence for you. Under copyright legislation, screening a movie cannot take place without the appropriate licence .
You may require a licence for background music before the movie and for the movie sound track. Further information is available from Australasian Performing Rights Association:
